About the role
As Sales Director for the UK, you will drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships, and expand the company’s presence in one of the most dynamic EV markets. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will fully own the sales strategy and execution, building a high-performing team to deliver on ambitious targets.
This is a role for an entrepreneurial and results-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and deeply understands the EV charging ecosystem in the UK.
Key objectives for this role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the UK market, aligned with the company’s overall objectives. Drive revenue growth by securing long-term contracts and expanding the company’s market share,
- Identify new opportunities for growth within the UK charging market
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including property developers, fleet operators, and public authorities
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed revenue goals
Related activities to make this happen
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development and contract closure
- Lead the sales team and make the most out of them, monitor their team and individual sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress and achievements
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and marketing, to deliver tailored solutions to clients
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to refine the company’s sales strategy and maintain a competitive edge
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and forums to strengthen its market presence
About your background and skillset
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles, preferably in the EV charging, energy, or technology sectors
- Proven track record of closing high-value contracts and achieving sales targets in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of the UK EV ecosystem, including key players, market trends, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
