Our client is a global leading DC charge point manufacturer (based in Finland) developing solutions for the most demanding conditions. In order to support their rapid international growth, EVBoosters is recruiting a seasoned Sales Manager Strategic Partnerships for the French Market.

Run your own show, optimize the partner strategy, create value together

Our client is expanding its reliable DC/HPC charging services across all geographical regions and industries. As a result, the company opened the Paris office in 2022 to be closer to its clients and strategic partners in the French region.

At present, the company’s DC/HPC charging business in the French market is growing rapidly due to the ongoing roll-out and the increasing demand. Their key strategic partners (The Sales & Service Partners) play a vital role and already represent multi-million projects.

In this critical senior role, you are going to manage 3 up to 5 key partners in France in order to increase and optimise the sales revenues via these critical partner channels.

You run your own show and know what it takes to build and flourish long-lasting partnerships. At a later stage, you are also responsible for the further development and onboarding of new strategic Service and Sales partners.

Key objectives for this role

  • Drive sales via a strategic account / partner management approach – Increase sales via the indirect sales channel by building long-lasting valuable relationships. Together with our clients key strategic partners in France you develop sales strategies to open-up new markets and serving end-customers like CPO’s, Transport & Retail companies, Energy & Utilities, etc). You create a strong collaboration and work as one team. On a regular basis, you organize trainings for product/ strategy updates for both the partner and its key customers.

  • Responsible for the big picture on all levels, you are the single point of contact for the commercial development of these strategic partners. You represent the needs of your partners within the company, and you orchestrate the communication on all levels. Since every partner and customer is unique, you have continuously dialogue on their needs ensuring they stay ahead in e-Mobility. Hence, you make sure that you know all relevant stakeholders in person and that you become ‘the go to’ person

  • Develop and continuously optimize your partner strategy and share your best practices. You gather information on all levels within the partner organization. Based on your analysis, you stepwise roll-out your approach and you continuously improve to make the most out of it. Your approach and best practices are an inspiration for your colleagues.

Related activities to make this happen

  • Analyze your strategic partner and its customer’s needs, bring innovative proposals and make them into tangible solutions together with partners, customers and internal stakeholders (segment marketing team)
  • Accordingly, every year you compile an account / partner plan along with all your Key Strategic Partners including mutual tangible objectives to drive sales together
  • You take the lead to organize on a regular basis follow-up meetings with your partners to discuss the progress made and potential new business opportunities
  • Continuously in contact with potential new strategic partners. Based on your analysis and assessment, you make the call to on board them as a new partner
  • Analyze and develop our team performance and participate in recruitments
  • Follow-up of the sales opportunities on daily basis via f2f meetings, phone and e-mail
  • Report on the sales activities and results timely through CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Spread the word. Decide and implement local product, proposition, marketing activities in collaboration with our client’s team in France and the HQ in Finland to maximize their brand and product awareness and adoption in the French region
  • Follow-up on (regional French) EV and EV charging market developments and propose business model and/or product development initiatives

Your background and skillset

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or business administration (or related field)
  • You are an experienced technical solutions seller / a great listener who is capable of working
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B working experience in a complex environment / similar job with a broad variety of people
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the French / European EV Charging Ecosystem
  • (Preferably) Experience of managing multi-million accounts in the technical field
  • Big plus, you know what it takes to develop and optimize a strategy to develop indirect sales channels (preferably in EV Charging / related field)
  • Strong commercial project manager, interface between the organization, its partners and end-customer.
  • Self-starter character who enjoys working in a growing, fast-paced and disruptive environment,
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Native in French and a professional command of the English language
