Urban Mobility Readiness Index for 2022

Global cities faced a new set of difficulties, ranging from high inflation and decreasing development to an energy crisis and an escalating danger from climate change, just as the globe was starting to recover from the upheaval caused by COVID-19. Cities should prioritise contemporary mobility systems as they address these problems and search for methods to improve their resilience on both an economic and environmental level. Urban vibrancy and sustainability are fundamentally fueled by effective and equitable transportation networks.

This report includes the Urban Mobility Readiness Index for 2022, which ranks 60 worldwide cities according to how ready they are for the next chapter of mobility.

European Electric Car Market Analysis & Insights

With plug-in car sales likely moving forward into 2022 in the region’s largest market, Germany, which registered just under 40% of all new plug-in cars in the region during November and broke the 100,000 combined BEV/PHEV unit mark for the first time in a single month, the market is likely to profit from a rush to take advantage of the maximum amount of government BEV purchase subsidies. In 2023, subsidies for BEVs will be cut, while those for PHEVs will be completely eliminated.

This is a preview of the market intelligence report, which provides an in-depth analysis of the European electric car market. It covers key trends in the industry, data on market size and growth, regional differences and regulatory changes, and provides detailed insights into the leading companies in the space.

The Zero-Emission Bus and Truck Market in China

China is undoubtedly the world leader in the manufacturing and adoption of battery electric and fuel cell electric buses and trucks, despite the fact that rivalry on ZE-HDVs is intensifying globally: In 2021, China accounted for 91.6% of all global sales of electric HDVs. The Chinese ZE-HDV market has grown quickly over the previous ten years, and in 2021, ZE penetration of the country’s domestic HDV market reached 4%. (Tencent News, 2022). International markets including North America, Europe, and Latin America are among those where Chinese manufacturers are introducing e-models.

This report provides an overview of the zero-emission bus and truck market in China over the past year, including a look at major industry players, their strategies, and the latest policy developments. It also provides an in-depth analysis of the current market size, regulations, and future trends. Additionally, it offers an overview of the competitive landscape and provides key insights into the future of the industry.

Setting a national electric vehicle charger standard

The lack of a public charging infrastructure, whose development is hampered by the wide variety of charger types that are now available across key markets (eight and counting), is a frequent barrier to the rapid expansion of EV markets. Choosing a charger standard approach that expedites the expansion of the EV fleet in accordance with national development goals is, in fact, a difficult task for nations making the switch to electric vehicles.

This report provides an overview of the advancements made in the four major automobile markets of China, the European Union, Japan, and the United States in terms of EV chargers and standards. It lists three options for national authorities’ selection criteria for charging standards.
