Market share EV registrations for EU markets in July 2022

In July 2022, battery electric vehicles (BEV) accounted for 14% of the new registrations. BEV registrations increased by 13,2% in comparison to the same month last year, with 28.815 new registrations.

This overview shows the market share of new Electric Vehicle (EV) registrations in 4 European key markets. The data is based on new EV registrations in July 2022 and shows both the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) market shares.

The United Kingdom saw a 16,7% market share for EVs. A total of 18.776 Electric vehicles were sold in July 2022, of which 5,8% PHEV and 10,9% BEV.

EVs had an 18,6% market share in the French automotive market. A total of 20.038 EVs were sold during July 2022. BEVs had an 11,9% share, while PHEVs had a 6,7% share.

EVs had a 25,5% share in the German automotive market in July 2022. BEVs accounted for 14% of the new registrations, and PHEVs had a share of 11,5%. A total of 52.527 new EVs were registered in July 2022.

BEVs had a 23% market share in the Dutch automotive market, and PHEVs accounted for 9,4%. In total EVs saw a market share of 32,4% during July 2022. A total of 6.956 new EVs were registered in the Netherlands in July 2022.
